Osseous Surgery

Traditionally, periodontal disease is treated by eliminating the defects in the bone. The infected gingival tissue is reflected away and bone defects caused by the infection are re-contoured (re-shaped).

If a bone defect is deeper than can be re-contoured, bone grafting materials can be placed to regenerate the bone.
